A Flour Mill, Three Lakes, and Two Waterfalls

Stone Arch Bridge crosses the Mississippi beside St. Anthony Falls on 21 stone arches built for rail traffic in 1883. Mill City Museum puts flour-milling machinery, worker stories, baking, and river views inside the ruins of Washburn A Mill. Next door, Mill Ruins Park exposes the canals and tailraces that once carried water through the milling district.Bde Maka Ska combines a restored Dakota name and village history with beaches, sailing, and paths around the Chain of Lakes' largest lake. Lake Harriet has rebuilt its lakeside performance pavilion several times since the streetcar era. Lake of the Isles owes much of its current shoreline and islands to early-20th-century dredging and park construction.Minnehaha Falls provides the second waterfall in a park acquired in 1889. The three riverfront stops fit together, while the lakes and Minnehaha work better as separate outings. Museum admission, parking, concerts, concessions, beaches, watercraft, water quality, trail conditions, and seasonal facilities are not included with the PopHops Pass.
