Cincinnati Museum Center
Union Terminal opened in 1933 as a vast Art Deco station built to consolidate Cincinnati's rail traffic. Passenger service ended in 1972, returned with Amtrak in 1991, and now shares the building with museums, an OMNIMAX theater, archives, and public programs. The rotunda, mosaics, clock, whispering fountains, and former rail spaces remain part of the visit. Museum admission is paid, and individual attractions can keep different schedules. The building is still an active station, while road work, special events, and holidays can affect circulation.
