Leach Botanical Garden

Botanist Lilla Leach and pharmacist John Leach made this Johnson Creek property their home and filled it with plants connected to years of field research. The site became a public garden in 1980 and now combines native plants, horticultural collections, forest, meadow, creek, a historic manor house, and an aerial tree walk.Accessible upper-garden paths reach the tree walk, pollinator garden, meadow, restrooms, and parking. Much of the older ravine garden has stairs, slopes, and narrow uneven paths. Admission is paid, the garden currently opens Thursday through Sunday, and heat, smoke, wind, snow, or ice can cause closures. More
