Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden
The Portland chapter of the American Rhododendron Society began developing Crystal Springs in 1950. The nine-acre garden now holds thousands of rhododendrons, azaleas, companion plants, and unusual trees around spring-fed ponds, bridges, paths, and wetland edges.Peak spring bloom brings the biggest color, but old trees, fall foliage, and resident and migrating waterfowl give the garden interest beyond flowering season. Admission is paid. Hours vary by day, parking is very limited, and private events can restrict parts of the grounds.
