Military Aviation Museum
In Pungo, history still has an engine.Military Aviation Museum describes its 130-acre purpose-built airport campus as home to more than 50 aircraft from the First and Second World War eras, many restored to operational condition. Historic structures and working hangars extend the story beyond individual machines to maintenance, flight, and the people who built, operated, and preserved them. The exact Hop image shows the collection inside a hangar, but any aircraft's location can change because this is an operating collection.Access and safety truth: The museum is open daily 09:00–17:00 and closes Thanksgiving and Christmas. Flights, demonstrations, and rides are separately scheduled, ticketed, weather-dependent, and never guaranteed by this Hop. The WWI Hangar, Cottbus Hangar, and Goxhill Watch Office are available through daily guided tours; Cottbus can close in extreme heat. Do not touch or climb on aircraft. Working programs can create loud engines, backfires, weapon demonstrations, and irregular sounds; some historic structures lack full modern accessibility, though the main building has elevator access, accessible parking/restrooms, and limited loaner wheelchairs.
