Pima Air & Space Museum
Finish at full scale.Pima Air & Space spreads more than four hundred aircraft and over 125,000 artifacts across six hangars and an 80-acre outdoor field. The collection makes design decisions visible in wings, engines, cockpits, and changing aircraft roles, while the desert setting returns every machine to heat, distance, and the physical work of preservation.Allow three to four hours if the collection is the day's main event. The public tram is a separate, weather- and availability-dependent ticket on museum grounds; tours of the military AMARG “Boneyard” have permanently ended and must never be implied. During current June–September hours, last admission is 13:30 even though the museum closes at 15:00. Buildings have poured-concrete floors and accessible routes, with a paved link among several main hangars. Much of the outdoor collection sits on hard-packed dirt, and loose sand can be difficult for thin wheels. The museum does not loan wheelchairs or scooters. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
