Buffalo Central Terminal
Buffalo Central Terminal opened in 1929 as an Art Deco rail complex that handled more than 200 trains and 10,000 passengers a day at its peak. The last passenger train left in 1979, and a nonprofit restoration corporation acquired the property in 1997.Interior tours are suspended during repairs and construction. The current visitor experience is a self-guided outdoor audio tour on designated exterior paths, plus separately announced events. There is no regular walk-in interior access, and construction zones remain off limits.
