Missouri Botanical Garden
Missouri Botanical Garden was founded in 1859. Its Climatron opened in 1960 as the first geodesic dome used as a conservatory, creating a column-free tropical environment beneath an aluminum framework. The wider grounds include the Japanese Garden, Tower Grove House, research collections, and seasonal displays. General admission is paid for most nonmembers, with different resident and member rates. Last entry is currently 4:30 p.m., and events, weather, horticultural work, and conservatory maintenance can change access.
