Gateway Arch

Eero Saarinen's Gateway Arch is 630 feet high and 630 feet wide. The stainless-steel structure was selected in a 1948 competition, completed in 1965, and fitted with a tram system designed for a curve that an ordinary elevator could not follow.The museum below the Arch is free, while the tram and several add-on experiences require paid timed tickets and can sell out.
