Broad Street Station sent out its first train in 1919 and handled a record 33,324 passengers on one day in 1943. The last train left in 1975, and the Science Museum of Virginia opened permanent galleries inside the station two years later.Interactive labs, a makerspace, a 76-foot Dome screen, and a 29-ton stone globe now fill the transportation landmark. Admission is paid, and Dome shows and special programs follow separate schedules. Friday is the weekly late night, and parking in the adjacent deck is free. More
