Kenefick Park - Union Pacific Locomotives
Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4023 and Centennial No. 6900 stand above Interstate 80 and the Missouri valley. One represents the scale of late steam power and the other diesel-electric engineering, with signs explaining the machines and their place in Omaha's rail history. The outdoor park is free and follows Lauritzen Gardens' hours, which currently run later Monday and Tuesday in summer. Parking is available at the gardens, with a ramp and central stairs leading uphill. The locomotives are static exhibits and remain behind railings.
