Joslyn Art Museum
Sarah Joslyn gave Omaha more than $3 million for a cultural center in memory of her husband George, and more than 25,000 people attended its 1931 opening. The original pink-marble building now connects to Norman Foster's 1994 pavilion and Snøhetta's curving 2024 addition. The collection holds more than 12,000 objects spanning 5,000 years. General admission is free, while selected exhibitions can require tickets. The museum closes Monday and stays open later Thursday, with free parking available on a first-come basis.
