Preservation Hall

Preservation Hall has presented New Orleans musical traditions at 726 St. Peter Street since 1961. Allan and Sandra Jaffe helped build a community around elder musicians and a small performance room whose physical setting has changed far less than its international reputation. The related foundation now supports education, archives, and musicians.The music is not treated as a fixed historical reenactment. Preservation Hall's own mission pairs preservation with room for later generations to contribute. Performances are ticketed and scheduled rather than covered by normal walk-in hours, and the current calendar controls showtimes and availability. More
