Prince's Hot Chicken Shack South

Start on Nolensville Pike with the family business most closely tied to Nashville hot chicken’s origin story. The South location gives the tradition room to stand on its own: a neighborhood counter, a carefully chosen heat level, and a plate meant to be tasted rather than survived. Notice the savory seasoning, crisp edges, and simple sides before the fire takes over, and let the visit become your reference point for the rest of the trail. This is a legacy stop, so arrive curious, order with humility, and give the meal the unhurried attention its history deserves. More
