The Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden
End in a room without a roof. The Kauffman Memorial Garden opened in 2000 as an enduring public gift and the final resting place of Ewing and Muriel Kauffman. Inspired by gardens the couple encountered in their travels, it translates legacy into paths, framed views, changing flowers, and the simple invitation to return. The garden is deliberately seasonal rather than static. Staff and volunteers change annual displays at least four times a year, while perennial beds and carefully shaped trees give the smaller changes a lasting structure. Spring color, summer shade, autumn texture, and winter quiet each reveal a different version of the same plan.Admission and parking are free, the garden is open year-round, and the site is accessible. Respect the refuge: no smoking, dogs except service animals, biking, rollerblading, alcohol, or organized portrait photography. Ordinary snapshots are welcome. Check the official garden page for current daily access before visiting.
