Meyer May House
Frank Lloyd Wright designed Meyer May House in 1908 with low roofs, art glass, built-in furniture, and long interior views. Steelcase later removed a 1922 addition, rebuilt a cantilevered roof, uncovered a mural beneath six layers of paint, and repaired more than 100 art-glass windows and skylights. The free visit includes a film and docent-led tour lasting about 90 minutes. Capacity is limited, and reservations often sell out. The visitor center and main floor are wheelchair accessible, while the upper floor requires stairs and strollers are not allowed.
