Grand Rapids Public Museum
Grand Rapids Public Museum traces its roots across roughly 170 years and now cares for more than 250,000 artifacts. Three floors cover West Michigan history, natural science, cultural collections, transportation, and a planetarium beside the Grand River. The museum remains open during a major expansion, so temporary walls, noise, entrances, and exhibit changes are possible. Its 98-year-old Spillman Carousel is currently closed for a custom gearbox repair. Admission and ramp parking are paid, while sensory bags, a Quiet Room, wheelchairs, and strollers are available.
