Detroit Historical Museum opened its current Woodward Avenue building on the city's 250th anniversary in 1951. The Streets of Old Detroit, America's Motor City, Origins, and Motor City Music use recreated spaces, vehicles, artifacts, and sound to cover urban growth, migration, manufacturing, commerce, and culture.The museum closes Monday and Tuesday and opens at 1 p.m. Sunday. Admission and museum parking are paid, while the QLINE's Ferry Street stop is nearby. Special programs, holidays, and one-off delayed openings can change the regular schedule. More
