Michigan Central Station opened in 1913 and closed in 1988. Ford acquired the abandoned Beaux-Arts building in 2018, completed a six-year restoration, and reopened its grand waiting room and ground-floor spaces to the public in 2024.The public lobby is generally open daily, but private events, holidays, construction, and programs can change access.
