Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Amphitheatre sits between Ship Rock and Creation Rock, two sandstone formations that expose roughly 250 million years of geologic change. Denver built the seating, stage, and supporting structures through New Deal-era labor, turning the natural acoustic setting into a permanent public amphitheatre.Concerts are only one use of the site. The park also includes trails, overlooks, and a visitor center with exhibits about geology and performance history. On event days, the amphitheatre commonly closes to daytime visitors during setup, and seasonal visitor-center hours differ from concert access.
