Space Foundation Discovery Center

Put a rover in your hands before you look up. The Discovery Center makes planetary distance practical through controls, models, and experiments: drive in the Mars Robotics Lab, watch Earth systems move across Science On a Sphere, or test how an orbit behaves. The institution belongs specifically to this city. Space Foundation began in Colorado Springs in 1983 to connect a growing space community with the public; its headquarters and education center now turn industry-scale questions into a self-guided visitor experience.Allow one to two hours, but check which labs are operating—staffing and field trips can alter availability, and some workshops require a separate materials fee. Current public hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00–16:00. Online tickets are recommended, not described as mandatory, and the event calendar can carry planned closures. More
