John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum
The JFK Library's permanent exhibits recreate a 1960 campaign office and the television studio used for the first Kennedy-Nixon debate. Campaign buttons, broadcast equipment, documents, photographs, and recordings cover the election and the Kennedy administration. The exhibits lead into a 115-foot glass pavilion overlooking Boston Harbor.Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis selected I.M. Pei as the architect, and the library was dedicated at Columbia Point in 1979. The museum is open daily and charges admission, with several free and reduced-price categories. Bags are searched at entry, photo identification may be requested, and holiday closures and early closing dates are listed separately.
