Boise River Greenbelt
Boise River Greenbelt grew from a mid-20th-century cleanup of the river corridor and a 1968 plan for continuous public access. The result is a 25-mile tree-lined path connecting more than a dozen parks through Boise and neighboring communities. The Greenbelt is a corridor rather than one entrance or attraction. Access is free from sunrise to sunset, and sections can close or detour for construction, flooding, maintenance, or habitat protection. Walkers, runners, bicycles, mobility devices, and leashed dogs share much of the route.
