Reginald F. Lewis Museum

Reginald F. Lewis Museum covers four centuries of African American history, art, and culture across Maryland. It opened in 2005 in a building designed by Philip Freelon and is named for the Baltimore-born businessman whose company became the first Black-owned firm to reach $1 billion in annual sales.Admission is paid, and the museum closes Tuesday and Wednesday. Sunday opens at noon, while Monday and Thursday through Saturday start earlier. Permanent galleries and changing exhibitions can easily fill 90 minutes or more, and major holidays alter the schedule.
