American Visionary Art Museum

American Visionary Art Museum opened in 1995 to show work made outside the usual art-school and gallery system. Its mosaic-covered buildings hold sculptures, machines, drawings, costumes, and entire environments made by self-taught artists.Admission is paid, and timed tickets are recommended on busy days.
