National Center for Civil and Human Rights
A few blocks from Atlanta’s civil-rights landmarks, this center asks the story to keep moving. Its galleries connect the U.S. civil-rights movement with human-rights struggles around the world, pairing historic testimony and artifacts with immersive experiences and present-day questions about dignity, power, and responsibility. The strongest way through is not to race for a checklist of famous moments. Let the personal accounts slow you down, then notice how the exhibits shift from what happened to what remains unresolved. The stop carries the pass from neighborhood memory into a global, living argument: rights are inherited only if people continue to use and defend them.Admission is separately ticketed; this PopHops pass does not include entry. Current public hours are generally Tuesday–Saturday 10:00 AM–5:00 PM and Sunday noon–5:00 PM, with last entry at 4:00 PM; the center is closed Monday and on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Timed tickets and special exhibitions can change availability.
