Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum
End by giving the sky a history. The Balloon Museum follows lighter-than-air flight from the first human balloon journeys in 1783 through exploration, science, war, espionage, record attempts, and space research. Albuquerque’s first Balloon Fiesta launched in 1972 with 13 balloons; the museum places that local beginning inside a much wider global story. Interactive STEAM exhibits, the Anderson family collection, Double Eagle materials, and the FAI CIA Hall of Fame make risk and experimentation tangible.Use the permanent exhibitions as the stable core and check the current calendar for programs. Regular admission is separate from this Pass. During Balloon Fiesta, ordinary routes, parking, traffic direction, access, and hours can change dramatically, so do not follow generic GPS instructions or promise a normal visit without reading the museum’s current traffic guide. Regular hours are Tuesday through Sunday 09:00–17:00, with event and holiday exceptions.
